Position Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse working in Addiction Medicine is responsible for providing safe and compassionate care to all BrightView patients and supporting them through the process of recovery through medically assisted treatment (MAT). The LPN ensures accuracy and completeness of patient care documentation including, physician orders, medication administration and scheduling. The LPN will ensure the highest quality of care is provided, provide efficient patient flow and provide crisis intervention as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Administers/dispenses medication and injections according to accepted nursing practice
  • guidelines.
  • Manages patient medication preselection and drug administration.
  • Maintains, monitors, and reconciles medication inventory.
  • Performs initial inductions and conducts medical services.
  • Conducts assessments and monitors vital signs for dose changes.
  • Provides patient education related to treatments and health and safety policies.
  • Signs and processes physician orders and enter notes in the EMR and input flags.
  • Completes documentation using the designated Electronic Medical Record.
  • Schedules appointments and document no-shows in system.
  • Prints, signs, and files all paperwork appropriately.
  • Prints daily reports and ensures accuracy of information.
  • Complies with the BrightView Infection Control plan and educates patients and staff
  • accordingly.
  • Daily cleaning of medication/dispensing and all patient care areas.
  • Ensures confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
  • Maintains flexibility in provision of nursing services, travel between locations when
  • necessary.
  • A productivity rate is required (TBD) with Telehealth options available to meet goals.

Job Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (NDA), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Licensed

Practical Nurse (LPN) with State Medication Administration certification

We are currently processing approximately 20,000 urine samples per month and counting. 

The primary responsibility of the Laboratory Accessioner and Data Processor is the checking in and accessioning of patient specimens and entering data into our computer systems. This position also requires a significant amount of attention to detail to maintain accuracy and processing efficiency. The Laboratory Processor I work directly with Laboratory Specimen Processor II and Team lead to ensure that all pertinent patient information is acquired prior to specimen analysis and ensures that there is a seamless communication process within the laboratory. 

Essential Job Duties: 

  • 0-2 years of sample processing and/or sample accessioning experience 

  • Flexible availability is a must for this position. Rotating Saturday shift required. No late nights required! 

  • Use urine screening logs to check in and record all laboratory samples from several busy centers -– including requisition printing and specimen labeling. 

  • Utilize an Excel spreadsheet to assign tests to samples and manage the samples without toxicology orders. 

  • Prep and label glass vials, centrifuge tubes, and IR tubes for Laboratory scientist. 

  • Obtain new Toxicology orders from medical providers. 

  • Utilize two different computer systems to perform accurate data entry in a fast-paced processing environment. 

  • The ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy. 

  • Update and maintain patient records with appropriate laboratory results and medication lists as is needed. 

  • Ability to accurately enter data from one system into another using multiple computer systems and monitors. 

  • Ensure that specimen containers are disposed of properly and in compliance with laboratory regulations and restrictions. 

  • Provides customer service and support to clinical centers – answering questions and coordinating report updates as needed.

The Case Management Specialist will support clinical teams at all BrightView sites by ensuring all external reports are completed and distributed on-time for patients from specialized customer markets; communicate with all functional teams such as outreach, operations, and clinical teams regarding the status of patients from specialized customer markets; prepare internal reports for BrightView that communicate overall status of patients by site, and metrics that track accountability for patients; work with external customer markets to better understand their needs, improve processes, customer service levels, and referral volume.

The SUD Counselor will work with individuals, families, and groups to promote optimum health while in recovery from substance use disorder.
