RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • BEHAVIORAL HEALTH LEADERSHIP:
    • Provide direct patient care alongside supervision for behavioral health staff.
    • Offer expertise on best practices and guidelines.
    • Evaluate treatment plans, documentation, and services.
  • PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT:
    • Ensure teams meet performance measures in compliance.
    • Prioritize the patient experience while maintaining compliance.
  • TRAINING AND ONBOARDING:
    • Oversee onboarding and training for new hires.
    • Implement policies, workflows, and trainings.
  • COLLABORATION AND COMMUNICATION:
    • Participate in and occasionally lead meetings and in-services.
    • Partner with Operations Director for proper care.
    • Provide updates on recruitment progress and market insights.
  • COMPLIANCE MANAGEMENT
    • Adhere to and manage compliance for supervision activities.
    • Embrace and promote a culture of compliance.

Skills & Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • EXPERIENCE
    • Required
      • 5+ years’ experience in a related field.
    • Preferred
      • 1+ years’ experience as a Therapist at BrightView, or relevant experience.
      • Prior supervision experience.
  • EDUCATION
    • Required
      • Consistent with state-level regulation and requirements, at minimum a Master’s Degree
    • Preferred
      • Master’s Degree

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • REQUIRED
    • Active licensure consistent with state-level regulatory requirements, at minimum independently licensed with supervision designation, e.g. LISW-S, LICDC-CS, LPCC-S, LMFT-S in Ohio

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • CLINICAL CARE: 
    • Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments. 
    • Assist with treatment planning and review progress towards treatment plan goals. 
    • Provide crisis and de-escalation techniques. 
    • Establish treatment plans at the individual patient level. 
    • Consistently provide primarily independent therapy sessions for patients with  Substance Use Disorder. 
    • Demonstrate competency for individual counseling. 
    • Conduct occasional individual counselor sessions as appropriate to competency level. 
       
  • COORDINATION AND COLLABORATION
    • Coordinate patient care with the onsite multidisciplinary team. 
    • Attend required meetings, including on-site staff meetings, supervision, multidisciplinary team meetings, individual and group supervision, and quarterly in-service. 
    • Carry and effectively manage a caseload of patients. 
       
  • DOCUMENTATION AND COMPLIANCE
    • Timely and comprehensively document all necessary treatment data into the electronic patient health record. 
    • Ensure adherence to all necessary regulatory and company compliance requirements. 
       
  • TRAINING AND MENTORSHIP 
  • Provide occasional training/onboarding support for new hire Counselor I. 
  • Offer training, onboarding, and mentorship support for new hire counselors within the site or adjacent clinics. 

 

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS, AND ABILITIES 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Highly empathetic and compassionate to effectively support the recovery journey of BrightView’s patients. 
  • Competent at working with a diverse population of colleagues and patients.
  • Natural problem solver, looks for solutions to best meet patient needs with a sense of urgency. 
  • Team-player, able to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment. 
  • Adaptable and agile within a dynamic work environment 
  • Technologically capable, comfortable operating in multiple systems for communication and documentation purposes. Familiarity with MS Office software (Outlook, Teams, Word, etc.) preferred. 
  • Embraces BrightView’s culture of compliance – operates with a high degree of integrity and compliance to work standards and regulatory requirements. 
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and 42-CFR Part 2 desired 
  • Prior experience with harm reduction a plus 

Skills & Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:
