Position Summary: 

The Advanced Practitioner will be responsible for providing medical services in collaboration 

with a licensed physician. The Advance Practitioner will implement treatment plans in 

coordination with the supervising physician and inform patients about the medical 

components of their treatment. The goal of this position is to be a key component of the 

integrated care team that provides high quality comprehensive care to each of our patients. 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Mentor and conduct professional development activities in medical subjects relevant to the patient’s treatment. 

  • Participate in all trainings as required by federal, state, local, and accrediting agencies and comply with all accrediting, federal, state, and local regulatory agency requirements. 

  • Develop and present training content for education on various medical topics relevant to 

substance use disorders and general good health practices. 

  • Perform medical services within the scope of his/her education, training, and expertise. 

  • Ensure implementation of medical quality health standard for both patients and employees. 

  • Provide medical input into overall program philosophy, treatment services, and patient 

care. 

  • Provide a response to emergency care providers when they require consultation for one of 

the program patients. 

  • Collaborate whenever necessary with other physicians, clinics or hospitals participating in the treatment of program patients. 

  • Attend weekly treatment team meetings, as well as outside seminars and training. 

  • Hold a basic understanding of drug/alcohol abuse and addiction and keep updated on 

current drug abuse and treatment information. 

  • Develop professional, helpful, and effective relationships with patients, team members, and constituents. 

  • Ensure treatment center meets all accreditation standards related to medical, health, and 

safety issues. 

Skills & Qualifications

Job Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree or equivalent 

  • Active state licensure (FNP/APRN/CNP/PMHNP/PA-C) 

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience preferred, with at least 1 year of experience in addiction treatment setting preferred 

  • D.E.A licensure as required by BrightView

Position Summary:

The State Clinical Director is a driven, visible, hands-on leader who leads a team of Clinical Directors to provide developmental and training support to clinical supervisors and staff. This engaged, master clinician is charged with ensuring the provision of quality clinical care to patients by engaging staff in professional development, teaching best practices, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality clinical supervision and training. The State Clinical Director works collaboratively with the Chief Clinical Officer, Operations leadership, Clinical Directors, Clinical Supervisors, and clinical staff to develop and implement a training and staff development program. This key leader serves as a subject-matter expert and consultant on clinical services to the VP of Operations for the respective geographic territory.

Essential Job Duties:

· Ensures high-fidelity delivery of BrightView’s expected clinical programming, including the achievement of Clinical quality KPIs, across the respective geographic territory;

· Responsible for the cohesive, high-fidelity implementation of BrightView’s clinical programming model;

· Implements a comprehensive clinical staff competency program;

· Implements a comprehensive Clinical Supervisor development model to train on best-practices in clinical supervision;

· Develops and implements standards of clinical supervision for all clinical staff, whether independently- or dependently-licensed, in compliance with the standards of county, state, and federal regulatory agencies;

· Ensures and audits appropriate use of evidence-based treatment approaches;

· Models and trains on best-practices in staff development;

· Verifies the completion of clinical documentation to meet county, state, federal, and internal agency standards, including thoroughness and timeliness standards;

· Serves as a resource and subject-matter expert for non-clinical staff to build their understanding of clinical services, including the nature of addiction, the importance of a comprehensive model of care, and the value to patients in offering a robust clinical model;

· Partners with the VP of Quality + Programs Excellence in the development of standardized clinical documentation to verify that such documents meet county, state, and federal agency;

· Collaborates with BrightView’s Compliance team in providing training and development in response to plans of correction, to ensure adherence to county, state, and federal statutes;

· Supports the recruitment, training, and evaluation of clinical staff;

· Participates and attends events, activities, and/or trainings to enhance BrightView’s presence;

· Collaborates with regional and center-level leadership to ensure adequate training and staff development activities are offered;

· Requires regular travel to BrightView centers to provide in-person training and oversight;

· Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

Qualifications:

· Experience providing clinical supervision and ability to supervise clinical counselors;

· Knowledge of recovery, mental health, and other co-occurring disorders;

· Experience in working with addiction in an outpatient and/or intensive outpatient milieu;

· Experience in crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills;

· Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a positive collaborative relationship among staff;

The SUD Counselor will work with individuals, families, and groups to promote optimum health while in recovery from substance use disorder.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required 

  • Dependent licensure (CSAC, CSAC-S, CADC, Resident in Counseling) preferred 

  • Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy preferred
