SUMMARY:

The Manager of Nursing Education is responsible for the development, delivery, and monitoring of education for all nursing providers. This will include education delivery via synchronous and asynchronous means. There will be an estimated travel requirement of 20% of the FTE.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • EDUCATION CONTENT DEVELOPMENT:
    • Implements company-wide nursing education program to fulfill all state, federal, and regulatory body clinical training requirements.
    • Develops and implements curricula, competencies and training specific to new and existing nursing staff.
    • Collaborates with market dyad leaders to identify training needs.
    • Developing education content for use in the learning management system.
    • Developing pre/post test evaluations.
  • CURRICULUM DELIVERY AND EVALUATION:
    • Delivering a competency-based curriculum to all nursing providers throughout BrightView Health.
    • Organize initial and continued education programs
    • Working to obtain CEUs for content delivered.
    • Evaluates the effectiveness of training activities and recommends new training methods when indicated.
    • Provides both one-on-one and group training sessions to nursing team members.
    • Supporting constant growth, learning, and improvement.
  • LITERATURE REVIEW AND REPORTING
    • Developing and delivering synopses of essential findings in literature.
    • Providing timely and comprehensive reports to executive leadership.
  • STANDARDS AND GUIDELINES DEVELOPMENT:
    • Contributing to the establishment of standards of care.
    • Developing nursing practice guidelines, treatment protocols, policies, and procedures.
    • Adapting standards and guidelines based on state-by-state nuances.
  • MANAGEMENT, COLLABORATION AND COORDINATION
    • Manage educators to ensure curriculum, training and processes are being delivered to the appropriate standard.
    • Collaborating with other educators.
    • Working with all educators to develop the best-in-class educational experience.
    • Promoting a culture of total quality management among nursing staff.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of treatment mechanisms and guidelines within addiction treatment practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to diverse groups of internal and external stakeholders, clinicians, and non-clinicians.
  • Strong organizational skills; must be able to manage and prioritize multiple business objectives and projects with the proper sense of urgency.
  • Robust experience collaborating with various medical providers (MD, DO, APRN, PA, RN, LPN), with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a positive collaborative relationship among team members.

Skills & Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • EXPERIENCE
    • 5+ years of Addiction Nursing experience strongly preferred.
    • 2+ years experience providing nursing education.
    • Experience in addiction care in an outpatient and/or intensive outpatient milieu, with knowledge of recovery, mental health, and other co-occurring disorders.
    • Experience in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Management training and leadership experience.
  • EDUCATION/LICENSURE:
    • Completed education in accredited program with completion of BSN
    • Licensed as Registered Nurse (RN) in designated state(s)
