Medical Assistant

Join our team at BrightView Health as a Medical Assistant and contribute to providing high-quality patient care by following established treatment program policies and procedures. As a Medical Assistant, you will adhere to current medical standards and practices while utilizing your medical skills for planning, assessment, intervention, and evaluation of patient needs. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • PATIENT CARE:
    • Complete patient vital signs, TB testing, and blood draws.

    • Prepare specimens for shipping.

    • Communicate with various teams regarding patient appointments.

  • DOCUMENTATION AND COMPLIANCE:
    • Ensure timely and accurate collection of laboratory specimens consistent with federal and state regulations.
    • Timely review, posting, and dissemination of laboratory results.
    • Complete timely and comprehensive documentation into the Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
    • Maintain new and existing patient accounts, including insurance and billing information.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, vision, and direction for the psychiatric line of service, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care for individuals with substance use disorders.
  • Oversee the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for patients with Co-occurring psychiatric conditions.
  • Develop and implement treatment protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in addiction and psychiatric medicine.
  • Collaborate with other medical professionals, including physicians, APRNs, therapists, nurses, and counselors, to develop comprehensive treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
